This week the Broadwaysted crew is thrilled to be sitting down and sharing some laughs and some drinks with an exciting contemporary musical theatre composer, Max Vernon!
We're pouring out Hudson Rye Whiskey, Montelobos Mezcal, and some gin (on brand, Kimberly) while Max spills about creating dozens of couture costumes for his Joe's Pub residency ("Cinderella-ing it!"), his personal theory about writing music in different styles, and the immersive experience that is KPOP.
Game Master Kimberly leads the group in the lyric guessing game "Loose Lyrics," we play the show-favorite game "Heads Up," and Max makes his way through "Kevin's Corner." We also talk about the upcoming regional productions of Max's musical The View Upstairs, Max's upcoming show at Joe's Pub November 27th (since the October show is sold out!), and the new projects he has in the works (romance during the Apocalypse? Yes please!)
We have a blast with Max Vernon, so listen in and join the fun as our newest #FriendoftheShow gets Broadwaysted!
