In The Beautiful Dark, Nancy's life is turned upside down when her 18-year old son Jacob fails out of college and returns home. She tries everything she can think of to help the troubled young man get his life back on track. Nancy appears to be succeeding, until she discovers disturbing news: Jacob didn't flunk out; he was kicked out for writing a graphic play about a shooting spree on campus, carried out by a young protagonist eerily similar to her son. The Beautiful Dark will feature Brant Spencer Amundson (Pentecost); Colleen Clinton (Blue Bloods, Law And Order, Rescue Me, Third Watch); Drew Minard; Chelsea Mojallali; Stephen Singer (The Sopranos, White Collar, Rescue Me, The Good Wife) and Jesse Turits. The play will be directed by long time Barrow Group actor/director Shannon Patterson.
