Childhood friends Lucien and Anthony escape for a summer in the country.  When the dazzling Madeline explodes into their lives, she tears open old wounds, awakening bittersweet secrets of friendship and love. This electric play about love, loss and the tiny moments that can change your life forever was met with five-star reviews when it first premiered at the Traverse Theatre at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Lyn Gardner, writing in The Guardian, called Abi Morgan a playwright “who rivals Caryl Churchill in her gift for ambiguity and innovation.”

TINY DYNAMITE features Blake DeLong (Taboos at SoHo Playhouse); Olivia Horton (Foreclosure at Playwrights Horizons); and Christian Conn (Broadway’s Desire Under the Elms).

The set and lighting design is by Maruti Evans; the costume design is by Nicole Wee; and the sound design is by Will Pickens.

Abi Morgan’s (playwright) plays include Skinned and Sleeping Around (Paines Plough); Tiny Dynamite (Traverse); Tender (Hampstead); Splendour (a Fringe First Award-winner at the Edinburgh Festival in 2000); and Fugee (National Theatre). Her television work includes My Fragile Heart, Murder, Sex Traffic (Channel 4), Tsunami – The Aftermath, White Girl and Royal Wedding. Her new series for Kudos and the BBC called The Hour aired last year on BBC One and season two is currently in production. Her film writing credits include Brick Lane, an adaptation of Monica Ali’s bestseller and, most recently, Shame directed by Steve McQueen and starring Michael Fassbender.  She also has a number of films in development including The Invisible Woman (BBC); Suffragettes (Film Four, Focus and Ruby Films); and Little Mermaid (Working Title). Her film The Iron Lady, based on the life of Margaret Thatcher and starring Meryl Streep, was released by The Weinstein Company in 2011.
