THOM PAIN (BASED ON NOTHING) Announces Additional Extension Image

The Signature Theatre production of Thom Pain (based on nothing), by Drama Desk Award-winning playwright Will Eno and directed by Obie Award-winner Oliver Butler, has been extended by a week for a second time, the company announced today. The production, which stars Golden Globe Award-winner Michael C. Hall ("Dexter," "Six Feet Under," The Realistic Joneses), will now run through December 9, 2018.

Eno was the first writer to complete Signature's Residency 5, a unique program offering three full productions over the course of five years. This is his first Legacy production since completing the program, which included premiere productions of his plays Title and Deed, The Open House and Wakey, Wakey.

Thom Pain (based on nothing) began performances on October 23 and opened on Sunday, November 11 on The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10thAvenues).

Called "a small masterpiece" by The New York Times and "one of the best monologues I've ever seen" by The Guardian, this surreal and very real one-man show follows Thom Pain as he desperately, and hilariously, tries to save his own life...or at least make it into something worth dying for. Time Out New York awarded this production four stars, and The Wrap called it a "thrilling tour-de-force."

The creative team includes Amy Rubin (Scenic Design), Anita Yavich (Costume Design), Jen Schriever (Lighting Design), Lee Kinney (Sound Design). Charles M. Turner III is the Production Stage Manager. Casting by Caparelliotis Casting.

Delta Air Lines is the Official Airline of Signature Theatre.

Through the Signature Ticket Initiative: A Generation of Access, Signature has made an unprecedented commitment to making its productions accessible by underwriting the cost of the initial run tickets through 2031. This season Signature Theatre will be offering the one millionth subsidized ticket through this groundbreaking Initiative.

To purchase tickets for all Signature Productions, call Ticket Services at 212-244-7529 (Tues. - Sun., 11am - 6pm) or visit www.SignatureTheatre.org.
