U.S. premiere of the all-kids cast fairy tale show Galli's The Wolf and the Seven Little Goats at 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 23, in Galli's midtown theater at 38 W. 38 Street, between 5th and 6th Avenues, Manhattan. The play is for kids from 3 and up and will be performed Saturdays and Sundays at 3 p.m. from January 24 - February 7.
Galli's The Wolf and the Seven Little Goats encourages children to beware of strangers. Mommy Goat teaches her seven little goats to watch out for the wolf. The little goats argue about whether a knocking guest is their mother or the wolf. They perform their favorite songs and dances and engage all children in the audience to rock along. Everyone feels part of the story and at the end of each show the kids get the chance to meet their favorite fairy tale characters.
Playwright, clown, and director Johannes Galli has been bringing fairy tales to kids for almost 25 years. Believing that fairy tales are healing for children, he uses the original story but changes the "grim" version into a humorous play that entertains kids and adults alike and has a fun and educating message in the end.
"Galli's Fairytale Theater is a perfect place to bring your children and make them feel comfortable about the stage, the experience of theater, and maybe even the art of being in it," said Carol Cain, Managing Editor of NY Metropolista.
