Mark Twain docks in the Hudson for the World Premiere of THE REPORT OF MY DEATH On the Lilac Steamship (July 22-August 15).

One Armed Man and Oracle Theatre Inc. dock Adam Klasfeld's docudrama The Report of My Death, starring Michael Graves, onto Pier 40 on the Hudson River near Houston, where it will perform on the Lilac Steamship for an official world premiere from July 22 to August 15 on Wednesdays through Saturdays. As Twain said, "The Trouble Starts at 8pm."

Mark Twain said that people cannot be completely honest until after they're dead, and this play takes him at his word -- with the deceased writer saying anything he wants.

Featuring rare, previous censored and posthumously published Twain letters, stories, notebooks and historical artifacts, this one-man docudrama follows Clemens from his bankruptcy through his worldwide lecture tour, personal tragedies, unlikely recovery, and principled opposition to the Philippine-American War. This premiere production introduces audiences the "other" Sam Clemens - American radical and dark prophet.

Actor Michael Graves' theatre highlights include Report of My Death (workshops in NY, New Mexico and Alaska), Oedipus at Colonus (Off Broadway 2008); Macbeth (Public Theatre--NYC); Timon of Athens (Shakespeare Theatre--Washington, DC); The Idiot (Off Broadway--NYC ); A Cry of Players (Lincoln Center--NYC ); Othello (Mark Taper Forum--L.A.); A Lion in Winter (Henry II --Off Broadway, NYC , and regional theatres); All the Queen's Men (Pre-Broadway Tour); Royal Hunt of the Sun (National Company); Zorba (National Company) and The Crucible (European Tour). Off-Broadway credits include Major Barbara, As You Like It, No Man's Land, Embers, A Doll's House, and Jordan Buck's plays A Season of Ashes, The Highway, and Shelter. Musical credits include Zorba, Man of La Mancha, 1776, Shenandoah, and Unsinkable Molly Brown. Film credits include Shelter (with Julianne Moore), See Saw (Co-Star), People I Know (with Al Pacino), and The Seer (Co-Star, filmed in Sardinia). He has also appeared as Professor Pinkham in All My Children. He appears occasionally in Love Letters with his wife, Jennifer Lee Graves.

Playwright and director Adam Klasfeld's docudrama The Report of My Death has performed workshops in New York, New Jersey, Alaska, and New Mexico. His Good Fences Make Good Neighbors received a chashama AREA Award for its workshop and premiered at the 2005 New York International Fringe Festival. The Prostitute of Reverie Valley premiered at FringeNYC 2006, and was developed at the Last Frontier Theatre Conference in Valdez, Alaska. His first full-length play, Europa's Child, was part of Amphibian Productions' 2004 New Play Reading Series. He is the artistic director of One Armed Man. In addition to his theatre work, he is a journalist and screenwriter.

Tickets are $18.00, and ticketing information will be released soon. Performances are July 22 through August 15, Wednesdays through Saturdays at 8pm. Visit www.onearmedman.org for more information, a video trailer and show history.
