THE JUDY SHOW: MY LIFE AS A SITCOM Ends Extended Engagement 11/27

The Judy Show - My Life As A Sitcom, the new comedy starring Judy Gold, will end it's extended limited engagement at Off-Broadway's DR2 Theatre (103 E 15th Street) on November 27th. Due to critical and popular success of the show, producers Daryl Roth and Eva Price have announced that a tour of The Judy Show will begin in the Spring of 2012. The Judy Show has been extended twice since the show opened on July 7th. At the time of closing, The Judy Show will have played 6 previews and 151 regular performances.

Judy Gold returns to the stage in this hilarious look at her life through the lens of the classic sitcoms of her youth. With multimedia, original music, laughter, and love, Judy shows us how she balances family and ambition with a little help from our favorite TV shows of the Seventies, Eighties, and Nineties. Judy Gold, the much-loved star of stage and TV, was recently seen Off-Broadway in Love, Loss, and What I Wore, as well as her critically acclaimed long-running hit show 25 Questions for a Jewish Mother. She is the star of HBO's At the Multiplex with Judy Gold and seen regularly on The View, The Joy Behar Show, Comedy Central, LOGO and VH1.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Judy Gold (Performer/Writer) Emmy Award winning actress and comedian, Judy Gold is best known as the star of the critically acclaimed long-running Off Broadway hit show 25 Questions for a Jewish Mother, for which she was nominated for a 2006 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Solo Performance. In addition, the show won the 2007 GLAAD award for "Outstanding New York Theater." A book based on the show was nominated for the prestigious Quill Award. Most recently, Judy has been in the cast of Nora & Delia Ephron's Off-Broadway play, Love, Loss and What I Wore. Gold can be seen regularly on Tru TV Presents World's Dumbest. She has guest-hosted ABC's The View - where she has appeared numerous times, and appears regularly on The Joy Behar Show on HLN. Judy hosted a weekly radio show on Sirus/XM called Hatched By Two Chicks. She is the host of iViillage.com's Your Kid Did What? Judy recently appeared on The Dr. Oz Show and The Wendy Williams Show and will be starring in an episode of A&E's "The Glades" this summer. She was the host of HBO's At the Multiplex with Judy Gold from 1999 - 2009, and Judy also hosted Comedy Central's100 Greatest Stand-ups of All Time and the GLAAD Media Awards, which aired on LOGO and VH1. Her TV specials include a half-hour comedy special for LOGO and the HBO documentary, All Aboard, for which she is featured. Her stand-up specials include Comedy Central Presents: Judy Gold, Comedy Central's Tough Crowd Stands Up, and Judy's HBO half-hour special, which received a Cable Ace Award. Gold was seen in the smash hit film The Aristocrats and the documentaries Making Trouble and I am Comic. Gold won two Emmy Awards for writing and producing The Rosie O'Donnell Show.
