The hit off-Broadway Comedy, The
Jackie Mason Musical currently running in its fifth year at
St. Luke's Theatre (306 W. 46 & 8th Ave) will have its final performance of July 22nd at 2 pm and will be reopening at The Davenport Theatre (354 W. 45th & 8th Ave) on Saturday, August 8th at 8pm, followed by a 2pm matinee Sunday, August 9th.
"I am super pleased that the show is still playing to audiences in New York & to have the show move into a new beautiful space. I have never been been happier with a company of actors that I have right now & I hope everyone comes out see the show in it's new space when we move to Davenport" says Reiter, director.
The
Jackie Mason Musical currently stars
Ian Wehrle in the title role, along with
Sheba Mason,
Jennifer Yadav,
Eric Anthony Lopez,
Remina Nishida,
Trevor Crane, Danielle Nicole Tyler, Nichole Kun &
Mary Lauren Wilson-Seastrom.
Additionally, newcomer
Jasmine Renee Thomas (NYMF's The Field) joins the company in the role of "Rosa" starting on Aug 8th at 8pm.
The 90-minute, one-act musical tells the story of Jackie's infamous love affair and his genius comedy that made him a house hold name. Featuring show stopping numbers: Celebrity Seekers, Big Blue Eyes, Ordinary Man, Mama is Always Right, Today, Tomorrow or Next Year, Chains That Bind, Much Truth in Jest, I Never Met This Yenta and much more.
