Rosendorf One Productions has announced that it will present THE HAPPY FAMILY, a multi-layered dark comedy that centers around three couples whose lives are provocatively intertwined with scandalous results, April 2nd - May 9th at Theatre Row, 410 West 42nd St. Written by Christopher B. Latro and directed by Anna Bamberger, the production will have its official opening on Wednesday, April 8th at 8pm.

THE HAPPY FAMILY centers around three couples whose lives are provocatively intertwined with scandalous results. Cornelia and William weather a seemingly frustrated, tired marriage. Her mother and step-father's relationship eerily mirror her own - especially with regard to feelings about the family business, an underground quasi-Ponzi scheme involving high art. When Dennis and Elizabeth, a sexually progressive, happy couple, are introduced, layers of dysfunction, deceit and disease seep in, with permanently damaging results.

THE HAPPY FAMILY is a multi-layered play that observes the tendency in families to repeatedly run in toxic circles and explores nonconforming alternatives to break these cycles.

Playwright Christopher B. Latro is an NYU graduate having majored in History and Journalism. He has been working for various national and international trade platforms ever since. He conducted as well as staged readings for the Southwark Playhouse as well as the Hampstead Theatre in London as well as staged short play readings for the Harold Clurman Laboratory Theater Company in New York. Absolution at St Luke's Theatre, NY was his first full-length production.

Director Anna Bamberger, who originally comes from a fine art background, trained at Stella Adler Studio in New York City to deepen her knowledge of live theater directly from an actor's point of view. Her acting took her to acclaimed London performances of Rosendorf One's and SOT Stages's productions of Blood Wedding and The Shape of Things. Her directorial work has encompassed a collaboration with distinguished Theatre Collection and Victor Sobchak in London where they worked together on such classic pieces as The Idiot, Tender is the Night, and An Inspector Calls. In a pursuit of new work, Absolution was her directorial debut of a newly written project.

THE HAPPY FAMILY features Kailey Prior, Eric Gravez, Sabina Petra and James Feuer.

Production design includes Production Stage Manager Jack Vandewark, scenic design by Lauren Mills, light design by Jamie Roderick, sound design & original music by Sam Godin, costume design Michael Alan Stein, and casting by Holly Buczek, CSA - Joy Dewing Casting.

Performances of THE HAPPY FAMILY are Tuesdays at 7pm; Wednesdays - Fridays at 8pm; Saturdays at 2pm & 8pm; Sundays 3pm.
