THE EXTRAORDINARY FALL OF THE FOUR-LEGGED WOMAN to Play NY International Fringe Festival

Flights of Fantasy East will present The Extraordinary Fall of the Four-Legged Woman as part of the 20th annual New York International Fringe Festival.

This new acappella musical written by Lily Ali-Oshatz (Musical Theatre Factory member) premieres at FringeNYC after a successful run at the 2016 FRIGID NY Festival. A one act operetta, The Extraordinary Fall... uses solely human voices to orchestrate every song and scene.

Inspired by the real Josephine Myrtle Corbin, born in 1868, the musical follows this four-legged woman's struggle when she's forced to choose between her family of circus sideshow performers and her newfound love. An eclectic troupe of characters use classical Indian dance, contortion, juggling and shadow puppetry to tell their stories. Glimpse underneath the bigtop to explore alternative ideas of beauty and the bravery required to love what is "other."

This production stars Lily Ali-Oshatz, Mischa Bubnash, Kally Deep, Mary StewArt Evans, Brian Falduto, Mike Hinkle, Janelle Lawrence, Kate Mueller, Sanjana Shukla, and Cody Sloan. Directed by Madeline Wall, Music Directed by Mark Galinovsky, Choreographed by Dara Orland, Puppet Design and Direction by Kelley Selznick, Stage Managed by Nick Probst.
