A rare combination of unprecedented originality and blinding talent, THE DROWSY CHAPERONE boldly addresses a great unspoken desire in all of our hearts: to be entertained. If you've ever sat in a dark theatre and thought, "Dear Lord in heaven, please let it be good," this is the show for you!

It is a parody of American musical comedy of the 1920s. The story concerns a middle-aged, asocial musical theatre fan; as he plays the record of his favorite musical, the (fictional) 1928 hit The Drowsy Chaperone, the show comes to life onstage as he wryly comments on the music, story, and actors. The Drowsy Chaperone debuted in 1998 at The Rivoli in Toronto and opened on Broadway in 2006. The show won the Tony Award for Best Book and Best Score. The show has had major productions in Toronto, Los Angeles, New York, London, and Japan, as well as two North American tours.

The VIP reception will include a silent auction with "Drowsy Chaperone" memorabilia including a Broadway cast-signed Playbill, and a meet-and-greet with members of the production's cast.

The proceeds from this special evening will benefit QSAC's programs and services for children and adults with autism throughout New York City and Long Island.

Tickets can be puchased at https://thedrowsychaperone.eventbrite.com/ for $49.50 for performance only at 8pm or $99.00 for performance and VIP reception at 6:30pm.

The Drowsy Chaperone will be presented at The Theatre at St. Clement's, 423 West 46th Street, New York, NY 10036. The VIP reception location is TBD.
