Manhattan Repertory Theatre to host
world premiere run of provoctive new play, 'The Bigot'
Meet Jim, a man who treats people of different creeds, faiths and opinions equally - he hates them all and is happy to let everyone know it. That he hasn't yet converted his adult liberal son, Seth, to think like him is a source of never-ending frustration. Well, almost as annoying as the two lesbians living next door.
But "The Bigot" is about to get the shock of his life, one that threatens to upend his entire worldview -and move theater lovers in the process.
Introducing THE BIGOT, a new play by Gabi Mor & Eva Mor, set for a four-performance run at the acclaimed Manhattan Repertory Theatre starting on June 8. THE BIGOT is a tale that couldn't arrive at a more relevant period in U.S. history; an era when Americans have never been so divided ideologically and hate and mistrust dominate the headlines.
It's a story that tackles the most important issue of our time; it's intense, provocative and sensitive all at once. Most importantly, it provides a much-needed spirit of hope: That even the most cynical among us can find common ground.
Tickets are just $20, with performances set for:
Thursday, June 8 @ 6:30 p.m.
Friday, June 9 @ 6:30 p.m.
Saturday, June 10 @ 9 p.m.
Sunday, June 11 @ 3 p.m.
