The Amazing Max, the "awesome and hilarious live magic show for the whole family" (PBS Kids) starring actor/magician Max Darwin (aka "The Amazing Max") will return this holiday season at the Theater at Blessed Sacrament (152 West 71st Street - just East of Broadway). Performances are set to begin on Saturday, November 19 and continue through Friday, December 30.

The Amazing Max is an interactive magic show with a mind of its own. What's truly amazing is not only what happens on stage but also what happens in the audience. The enchanted look that spreads across the faces of his young (and not-so-young) fans as magician Max Darwin works miracles is hands-down astounding. Operating from the principle that "every show is unique because every child brought to the stage is unique," Max conjures a custom experience that young ones will carry with them long after the show ends.

"When you see Max perform you see how much he believes in children," says Producer Christine Cox. "He makes them feel comfortable, and as he works with his audience to create moments of magic that are not just "seen" but felt emotionally, he leaves them with the powerful message that, no matter our size or age, life holds special magic for those that dare to dream. We're thrilled to bring the show back to New York City this holiday season up close and personal in this intimate venue."

Tickets are $44.50 - $49.50 (Orchestra) and $59.50 (Premium). Premium ticket holders receive access to the VIP "Magic Lounge" (which opens 25 minutes before the start of each show) and children receive Amazing Max memorabilia, participate in a magic lesson, and take home a magic trick! Additionally, premium tickets include priority front row seating. The entire audience is invited to a post show experience where they can meet Max immediately following the show.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.theamazingmax.com or by calling 866-811-4111. The show is recommended for children ages three (3) and up.

When Max Darwin was a baby he was thrust onto the stage by his street-performer parents. Now an adult, Max is one of the most sought after magic artists in the country. When not performing his Off-Broadway show and touring, he can been seen as a featured artist on Season 3 & 4 of the National Geographic Channel's hit TV series "Brian Games" and as the magic consultant for "Gotham" (FOX) and "America's Got Talent" (NBC). His private clients include such notable celebrities as Uma Thurman, Diana Ross, Chazz Palminteri, Ethan Hawke, Jeremy Sisto, and Tommy Hilfiger. His instructional magic video "Magic in Minutes" teaches kids 5 and up how to fill their everyday lives with wonder by performing magic with normal objects found around the house, and is available online at www.theamazingmax.com.

As an actor his recent TV credits include "Black Box" (ABC), "Blindspot" (NBC), and as host of the Nickelodeon show "Game Farm." Most recently he was featured alongside Snapchat king DJ Khaled in a T-Mobile commercial. In 2017, Max will appear in "Girls" (HBO) and as a recurring character in the new Amazon series "Sneaky Pete" starring Brian Cranston and Giovanni Ribisi. Christine Cox (Producer) has extensive experience working in children's entertainment and education. Featured on The Today Show, Christine taught their meteorologist, Dylan Dreyer, how to play the role of a professional party princess! She is the owner of children's entertainment companies Miss Christine and co-founder of A Princess Visit. She also founded 5th Grade Ballroom Stars, a program where students learn the importance of etiquette and respect through ballroom. Most recently she has produced works featured in the New York City Dream Up Festival. She is currently consulting on brand new family show Hanna and the Moonlit Dress opening this holiday season.
