Following rave reviews and near capacity attendance, the producers of "The Affair in 22B" have decided to extend performances through November 2nd.
"The Affair in 22B" stars Broadway actor
John Halbach, known best for his performances in Roundabout Theatre Company's "Tartuffe" and Off-Broadway in Irish Repertory Theatre's "Beowulf." He has been cast as the male lead role of Paul while his co-star, Renee Rakel, has been introduced to the New York theatre scene in the role of Abbey.
"I'm proud to announce that we have decided to extend performances," says Marc Eardley, the play's Director and Founder of 3S Theatre Collective. "John and Renee are both stars in the making, and they are breathing so much life into this script! Their chemistry is absolutely perfect, which makes me very proud of this show!"
Written by Jay Christopher (aka Jack Kelly) in 1984, the play revolves around the relationship of the two main characters, Abbey and Paul, who share their lives in a run-down New York apartment, and who are looking to build a successful and meaningful relationship, though Paul's eagerness towards conflict and negativity plays an integral role in the downfall of the couple's companionship.
The play was Christopher's favorite work while he was still alive and he always wanted to produce it, but never had the opportunity.
