Talk Back Bios:

JERYL BRUNNER - October 25
Jeryl Brunner has worked as a professional journalist and writer for more than15 years. She joined In Style magazine in 1994 and contributed to nearly every section interviewing scores of celebrities. Since beginning her freelance career in 2003, she has covered travel, trends, fashion, theater, and entertainment - you name it. She has contributed to many publications including National Geographic Traveler, Travel + Leisure, Delta Sky, Elle.com, ForbesTraveler.com, Four Seasons, Us Weekly, Hamptons, and O magazine. Her reporting has taken her to the Lord of the Rings premiere in Wellington, New Zealand, to a luxurious spa in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and to the hospital where Vincent Van Gogh painted Starry Night. Jeryl is a graduate of New York University. She downloads far too many show tunes on her iPod, and she lives in New York City.

HOWARD OBLER - November 8
Howard received his B.A. Degree from Cornell where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and awarded a Fulbright Scholarship for study abroad. He spent the major portion of his business career with the international accounting firm Ernst & Young where he was a Management Consultant. After retiring, he returned to academics to pursue a Masters Degree in American Studies at Columbia University. For the past 15 years, Howard has been teaching adult education courses that focus on film, theatre, and literature at the 92nd St. Y, NYU and other institutions in New York City. He also teaches at various venues in Florida during the winter months.

Adapted by Patrick Barlow and directed by Maria Aitken, THE 39 STEPS is based on an original concept by Simon Corble and Nobby Dimon and on the book by John Buchan.

THE 39 STEPS features a cast of four actors who, against all odds, breathlessly and hilariously attempt to reenact all of the characters, locations and famous scenes in Hitchcock's 1935 film thriller with just a few props and a lot of theatrical ingenuity and split second quick changes.

The cast features John Behlmann as Richard Hannay, Cameron Folmar as Man #2, Jamie Jackson as Man #1 and Kate MacCluggage as Annabella Schmidt/Pamela/Margaret. The production also features Greg Jackson and ElizaBeth Davis.

Set and costume design is by Peter McKintosh, lighting design is by Kevin Adams and sound design is by Mic Pool. Original movement was created by Toby Sedgwick. Additional movement is created by Christopher Bayes. Production stage manager is M. William Shiner.
