Featured in NY Magazine, NY Times, LA Times and the Wall Street Journal, and the recipient of a 2009 Drama Desk Award and one of 15 youth organizations nationally to win the Presidential "Coming Up Taller Award," TADA! Youth Theater (Janine Nina Trevens, Executive & Artistic Director), continues to celebrate its 25th anniversary with Wide-Awake Jake, book by Alice Elliott, music by Robby Merkin, lyrics by Faye Greenberg, and is based on a children's picture book. The second of three amazing musical productions for the whole family this season, will open on April 16 and run through May 23. Premium tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for children. Wide-Awake Jake is the wonderful musical for kids, by kids, about a young boy named Jake, who simply can't fall asleep, and the adventures he encounters on his quest for slumber. Join Jake as he meets a lion, a dragon, and a giant, and learn how easy and fun YAWN POWER can be!

ABOUT TADA! PRODUCTIONS:
TADA!'s original productions employ professional directors, choreographers and designers who work with a multi-ethnic cast of NYC children (ages 8-18) who are members of the TADA! Resident Youth Ensemble. TADA!'s productions lauded by critics around the country including New York Magazine who said, "Since these young actors are a millisecond away from going pro, this is a good time to take a gander at stars on their way up."

For 25 years, the Drama Desk Award-winning TADA! Youth Theater has produced original musicals performed by kids aged 8-18 for family audiences. TADA! makes theater accessible through classes, school residencies, and a free youth development program for the most talented kids in the area.
