Biography, S. N. Behrman's story of a New York celebrity portrait artist about to release her autobiography, much to the horror of her former lover and a legion of others, will be presented as a staged reading by The Acting Company at 7 pm on Monday, April 6 at the Pearl Theater, 555 West 42ndStreet (10th - 11th Avenues).
The performance-starring noted University of Delaware Rep member Elizabeth Heflin, Broadway's Patrick Kerr (You Can't Take It With You), David Manis (The Curious Incident of the Dog), Lee Aaron Rosen (The Big Knife) Armand Schultz (The Normal Heart film, Our Town), Carine Montbertrand (Theresa Rebeck's The Nest), John Skelley (Acting Company's Hamlet) and Lisa McCormick(Acting Company's Two Gentlemen of Verona)-will be followed by a reception with the cast and director, Ian Belknap (A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court), Artistic Director of The Acting Company. "His plays and movies featured some of the most important actors of the 20th Century: Alfred Lunt, Lynne Fontaine, Noel Coward, Katherine Cornell, Laurence Olivier and Greta Garbo."
