Sopranos' Stars Lead Cast Of 'Homeland' Reading 5/20

Productions Inc. is proud to announce that Sopranos' stars Dan Grimaldi and Jason Cerbone, and actor Joe Lisi (Take Me Out, Sopranos) will lead a stellar cast for an invitation only Industry Reading of the new play entitled Homeland, written by Charles Messina (Mercury: The Afterlife and Times of a Rock God).

The reading of Homeland will take place on Tuesday, May 20 at 3pm at The Triad Theatre, located at 158 West 72nd Street in NYC. A cocktail reception will follow. Industry and producers should call 212-252-6910 to make reservations or for more information. This event is not open to the public.

In this new play, Messina takes us to upstate New York to reveal an insulated community where ordinary lives are overrun by fear and paranoia following the events of September 11th.

The play also features actors Gina Ferranti (Tony n' Tina's Wedding, Merging) and Amir Darvish, who won accolades for playing the role of rock legend Freddie Mercury in Messina's acclaimed monodrama about the Queen frontman.

Writer/Director Charles Messina is best known for his work on the Off-Broadway hits Cirque Jacqueline and Mercury, as well as directing the musical Be My Love, about the life of legendary tenor Mario Lanza, which was written by Richard Vetere and produced by Sonny Grosso and Phil Ramone.
