Songs From Zoe Sarnak, FOLK WANDERING And More Join Prospect's RAVE REVUE Lineup This Friday  Image

Prospect Theater Company (Cara Reichel, Producing Artistic Director / Melissa Huber, Managing DIrector) is pleased to announce additional songwriters contributing material to its next IGNITE Series concert event, The Rave Revue. Songs by Zoe Sarnak (Afterwords), Jaclyn Backhaus, Mike Brun & Annie Tippe (Folk Wandering) and Khiyon Hursey & Cheeyang Ng (Eastbound) have been added to the evening's program of new musical theater songs. The evening will also feature songs from Adam Gwon (Ordinary Days) and Sara Cooper & Julia Meinwald (Elevator Heart). Two of the songs featured on the evening's program will be original works penned by the performing artists: Ariel Engelbert and Ethan Riordan. Other songs featured in the concert line-up are written by Prospect alumni Sam Carner & Derek Gregor, Michael Cooper & Hyeyoung Kim, Bobby Cronin, Drew Fornarola, and Douglas Lyons & Ethan Pakchar, with newcomers Juliet Kapanjie & Andrew Baumer and Sage Melcher.

The cast of emerging performers includes: Mary Albert, Ashley Chiu, Jackie Colquitt, Ariel Engelbert, Zoey Engelbert, Sarah Fernandez, Gabi Garcia, Nicole Gentile, Leah Ghermay, Jana Jackson, Adam Kluge, Jameson May, Andrea Hernández Mieres, Joe Ottavi-Perez, Melody Portnoy, Max Realyvasquez, Ethan Riordan, Allie Sandler, Cliff Sellers, and Jovan E. Watlington.

The Rave Revue will take place on Friday, July 27th at 8pm, at The TimesCenter (242 West 41st Street, NYC). This summer showcase evening features outstanding up-and-coming performers, ages 18-23, performing new musical theater songs by outstanding up-and-coming writers. The concert is directed by Dev Bondarin, and music directed by Xander Rovang.
