The 2009/2010 season of Great Performers unites world-class artists and audiences for the love of classical music. Come hear Iván Fischer conducting the complete Beethoven symphonies, performed in a fascinating juxtaposition on both period and modern instruments. The remarkably talented Gustavo Dudamel conducts the Los Angeles Philharmonic for the first time ever in New York, and rising star Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducts the Rotterdam Philharmonic in their collective New York debut.

The forward-thinking series New Visions highlights several inventive works, including pianist Leif Ove Andsnes with video artist Robin Rhode in Pictures Reframed, and Heiner Goebbels' sound landscape Stifter's Dinge receiving its U.S. premiere. Be sure to also experience early music master Jordi Savall, who explores the cultures and religions that shape the city of Jerusalem.

Virtuoso Recitals moves to the vibrant new Alice Tully Hall, the Emerson String Quartet performs the work of Czech composers in this stunning venue, and don't miss archival films, lectures, and more throughout the season!
