Signature Theatre & Field Day's A PARTICLE OF DREAD Enters Final Two Weeks of Performances

Signature Theatre and Field Day's by Sam Shepard, directed by Nancy Meckler, begins its final two weeks of performances and will play through Sunday, January 4, 2015 only. The production opened to critical acclaim on Sunday, November 23 in The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues).

Signature Theatre will offer Student Rush tickets for the extension week of Our Lady of Kibeho. Student Rush tickets will be sold for $25 when the ground floor Box Office opens each day up until performance time. The tickets are only available in person. The number of tickets varies from performance to performance. Limit two tickets per person. Valid student ID must be presented at the time of purchase.

A Particle of Dread (Oedipus Variations)is a dark, fragmented, modern-day take on Oedipus Rex that premiered in Derry, Ireland, and features a cast of actors from both sides of the Atlantic. The cast includes Tony Award winner Brid Brennan (Dancing at Lughnasa) as Jocasta / Jocelyn, Lloyd Hutchinson (Anonymous) as Uncle Del / Traveler / Tiresias / Maniac of the Outskirts, Jason Kolotouros (Her Majesty the King at the HERE Arts Center) as Harrington, Matthew Rauch (The Wolf of Wall Street) as Randolph, Academy Award nominee Stephen Rea (The Crying Game) as Oedipus / Otto, Aidan Redmond (The Cripple of Inishmaan) as Laius / Larry / Langos, Judith Roddy ("The Fall") as Antigone / Annalee.

Brid Brennan, Lloyd Hutchinson, Stephen Rea, and Judith Roddy are appearing with the permission of Actors' Equity Association. Signature Theatre gratefully acknowledges Actors' Equity Association for its assistance of this production.
