Signature Theatre Company's production of Tony Kushner's THE ILLUSION, directed by Michael Mayer begins its final week of performances tonight, July 12. The production, originally slated to run through July 10, 2011, was extended an additional week due to popular demand and will run through Sunday, July 17, 2011.

THE ILLUSION marks the final Signature Theatre Company production to play at the Peter Norton Space (555 W. 42nd Street). In February 2012, Signature Theatre Company will make their permanent home at Signature Center, a new 74,000 square foot facility at 480 West 42nd Street near 10th Avenue, designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Frank Gehry and featuring three theatres, two rehearsal spaces and administrative offices all on one level and connected by a shared lobby with a café and bookstore. Athol Fugard has been announced as Signature Theatre Company's inaugural Residency One playwright at Signature Center, with next season's Legacy productions and Residency Five playwrights and titles to be announced later this summer.

Tickets for the final week of performances are $75. For the full performance calendar, to purchase tickets or for more information, please call (212) 244-PLAY (7529) or visit www.SignatureTheatre.org
