Producers Aaron Grant, Jana Robbins & Jeremy Handelman have announced that Scott Patterson has been cast in the lead role of Joe White in WHITE'S LIES, a new comedy by Ben Andron & directed by Bob Cline, which is scheduled to open on April 12, 2010, at New World Stages. Grant, who produced the staged reading in September, 2009, is thrilled to have the former star of "Gilmore Girls" on board as Joe White. Mr. Patterson joins a cast that already includes Peter Scolari, Christy Carlson Romano & Jimmy Ray Bennett.
Scott Patterson is well known to TV audiences for his seven seasons as diner owner & Lauren Graham's on screen love interest, Luke Danes, on the hit show "Gilmore Girls." He also co-starred in the TV series "Aliens in America" & was featured in the TV film "Alien Nation: Dark Horizon." Patterson studied acting with Robert Lewis & Sondra Lee, observing Paul Newman & Frank Corsaro at The Actors Studio, where he appeared in numerous productions, including Rasputin & Miss Julie. He is one of the founders of the Arc Light Theatre Company in New York City, producing the works of Sam Shepherd, Harold Pinter & John Bishop. He appeared in the films Little Big League with Timothy Busfield & Jason Robards & in Three Wishes with Patrick Swayze & Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, as well as the cult-horror films Saw IV, Saw V & Saw VI.
