Tom Shillue, the master of comedic storytelling, will be extending his award winning one-man show Supernormal at Performance Space 122 through April 9. Drawing from his middle class Catholic upbringing, Tom's comically crafted tales of growing up in suburban Massachusetts and life in NY are both poignant and hysterically, universally relatable. In other words, they are so normal, they are radical.
Tom's mesmerizing ability as a storyteller has gained him a cult following and also earned the workshop of Supernormal the ECNY Award for Best One-man Show.A former correspondent on The Daily Show, Tom has appeared on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Last Comic Standing, and in the feature film Mystery Team. Tom has also hosted the wildly successful monthly storytelling series TELL: World's Collide as well as regular performances at the Moth's Mainstage and Risk! at Joe's Pub. Called "inspired" and "briliiant" by The New York Times and the New York Post respectively, Tom Shillue was named the Top New York Comic by Backstage saying "there isn't anything Shillue can't do." Fans on Comedy Central's website voted Tom one of the top ten comedians in the country in their 2008 showdown. For more information on Tom Shillue please visit http://www.tomshillue.com/.
