I of the Storm, a new solo riff written by RJ Bartholomew and performed by Richard Hoehler is making its New York premiere in a limited 8-week engagement at The Playroom Theater (151 West 46th Street - just east of Broadway). Directed by Janice L. Goldberg, performances began on March 7th. The show officially opened last night, March 17th, and continues through April 29th. Deep End Productions is producing. From riches to rags, I of the Storm is an unlikely success story in which our hero loses it all and finds what he never had, including self-acceptance and a long stifled creative bent. Ensconced on the street outside a city park our hero holds forth for all comers - musing, ranting, singing, dancing, and spitting poems with aplomb. A comic tragedian, an Everyman on steroids, a Superman who does not leap tall buildings at a single bound, but takes them one story at a time. In embracing both the joys and sorrows of life, the message is clear: It's about not wasting any more time.

The creative team for I of the Storm is: Mark Symczak (sets), Michael Abrams (lights), Sean W. Sellers (costumes), and Craig Lenti (sound). Joan Racho-Jansen is Technical Director.

The performance schedule will be: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday at 7pm & Saturday at 2pm. All tickets are $30 and can be purchased online at www.IoftheStormOffBroadway.com.
