STAGE TUBE: HOW TO BE A NEW YORKER's New Marquee Up at Planet Hollywood Times Square

Planet Hollywood Times Square has installed a dazzling new digital marquee heralding its first tenant at The Screening Room Theater, Off-Broadway's hit comedy HOW TO BE A NEW YORKER. Video footage of the spectacular display debuted today on YouTube. Written and performed by Margaret Copeland and Kevin James Doyle,HOW TO BE A NEW YORKER reopened at this uniquely elegant new venue after playing to packed houses since August 22, 2012 at Sofia's Downstairs Theater. The Planet Hollywood edition of HOW TO BE A NEW YORKER introduces a bounty of new material including the debut of its hilarious new sketch, "Real Housewives of the Upper East Side." HOW TO BE A NEW YORKER delivers a laugh-filled tour around the greatest city in the world with actors, comedians and licensed tour guides Ms. Copeland and Mr. Doyle as they play over 60 characters. Under the direction of OBIE Award winner Robert Ross Parker, this "Saturday Night Live" style comedy features a hilarious look at NYC's 400-year history. Immigrants, construction workers, muggers, Wall Street bankers, panhandlers, MTA workers, and Mayor Bloomberg all get a solid lampooning! It doesn't matter if you were born on the Upper West Side or just took your first terrifying cab ride, you will love learning How to Be a New Yorker.

The playing schedule for HOW TO BE A NEW YORKER is Fridays at 7 PM and Saturdays at 1:30 & 7 PM at Planet Hollywood Times Square, located at 1540 Broadway (entrance on 45th Street just east of Broadway). Lunch or dinner is served at each performance with a delicious menu, catered by Buca di Beppo, consisting of House Salad, Spaghetti Marinara, Fettuccini Alfredo, Chicken Parmigiana, and Cookies & Brownies.
