Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director; Ellen Richard, Executive Director) has extended its run of Dick Scanlan and Sherie Rene Scott's EVERYDAY RAPTURE two weeks, through June 14. Directed by Michael Mayer, EVERYDAY RAPTURE stars Ms. Scott and also features Eamon Foley, Lindsey Mendez, and Betsy Wolfe.

EVERYDAY RAPTURE is the story of a young woman's psycho-sexual-spiritual journey on the rocky path that separates her mostly Mennonite past from her mostly Manhattan future. Her life takes her from the cornfields of Kansas to the clover fields of New York (with a disturbing detour through YouTube). EVERYDAY RAPTURE also features songs made famous by David Byrne, George Harrison, Roberta Flack, Elton John, The Dap Kings and Judy Garland.

EVERYDAY RAPTURE is performed through Sunday, May 31, 2009 at Second Stage Theatre (307 West 43rd Street, just west of 8th Avenue) on the following schedule: Tuesday at 7:00pm, Wednesday - Saturday at 8:00pm, Wednesday and Saturday at 2:00pm, and Sunday at 3:00pm. NOTE: All weeknight performances the week of May 5 are at 7:00pm.

The show will be performed on the following schedule June 2 - June 7: Tuesday at 7:00pm, Wednesday - Friday at 8:00pm, Saturday at 2:00pm and 8:00pm and Sunday at 2:00pm and 7:00pm. The show will be performed on the following schedule June 9 - June 14: Tuesday at 7:00pm, Wednesday - Saturday at 8:00pm, Wednesday and Saturday at 2:00pm and Sunday at 3:00pm.
