Sonja Morgan, star and fan-favorite of Bravo's "Real Housewives of New York City," will make her stage debut in New York's longest running comedy Sex Tips for Straight Women from a Gay Man for a limited four-week engagement this October.

Usually the one dishing the tips herself - from sexcapades in hammocks to how to "share" your men - Morgan will be switching positions and handing over the reins as she dons the role of "Robyn" from October 1st through the 22nd at The 777 Theatre (777 Eighth Avenue, between 47th and 48th Streets). She will be joined onstage by Grant MacDermott ("Dan") and Michael Milton ("Stefan").

"I am really excited to put my acting skills to the test in this hilarious romantic comedy," says Morgan. "I've always said the only thing better than making people laugh is making them feel sexy. With this play, I get to do both. I have no doubt my New York stage debut promises to be a climactic affair!"

Sonja Morgan is an Entrepreneur, Luxury Fashion Lifestyle Brand, Film Producer, Writer, Performer, Special Event Creator, Philanthropist, and Mother of a teenage daughter. Long before becoming a household name from her television appearances, Sonja was a mover and shaker amongst New York City high rollers and international jetsetters. Being a lover of the arts, she loves to entertain with her self-named Caburlesque show, a tongue-in-cheek sing song skit frequently seen on "The Real Housewives of NYC," as well as in society pages, and her Sonja in the City events. Sonja's motto is "live each day as if you have nothing to lose and everything to gain." Winner of the 'Best LOL Moment' at the 2015 Bravo Awards, she is known for her sexy, "spit out your wine" brand of humor.

Now in its third smash year Off-Broadway, Sex Tips for Straight Women from a Gay Man takes the audience on a hilarious and wild ride where no topic is taboo and the insider 'tips' come straight from the source: a gay man. Directed by Tim Drucker, Sex Tips began performances on January 22, 2014 and opened on February 9, 2014. Sex Tips launched its wildly successful national tour last year with several sold out runs at performing arts centers in Des Moines, IA, Tampa, FL, and Buffalo, NY among others. For the 2016/2017 season, the touring company will set out for more than 18 weeks across several states including Colorado, Florida, Texas, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Arkansas, and Tennessee.

Sex Tips for Straight Women from a Gay Man, written by Dan Anderson and Maggie Berman and published in 1997, championed the straight girl/gay guy friendship in mainstream pop culture and instantly became a national best-seller. Now a cult classic, the book has also been published in Germany, Japan, Taiwan, Brazil, the Netherlands, Australia, England, and France.

Presented by Matt Murphy and Shawn Nightingale, Sex Tips for Straight Women from a Gay Man has scenic design by Luke Cantarella, costume design by Tilly Grimes, lighting design by Brian Tovar, and video and sound design by Randy Blair.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Sonja Morgan (Robyn) is an Entrepreneur, Luxury Fashion Lifestyle Brand, Film Producer, Writer, Performer, Special Event Creator, Philanthropist, and Mother of a teenage daughter.

Sonja was working towards her bachelor's in marketing at The Fashion Institute of Technology and in-between her studies, she travelled the globe as a fashion model and actress. While making her home base New York City she also lived and worked in California, Colorado, Italy, and France.

After pursuing fashion retailing and wholesale in New York's Garment District, Sonja became a Restaurant/Hotel and Fashion Luxury Brand Consultant for top establishments across the country. Whether representing an Italian custom tailor or consulting a new hot spot for Donald Trump, Sonja was the go to "it girl." Her international client base relied on the expertise and guidance she provided. Sirio Maccioni of Le Cirque said "very few people have her talent in our business." In fact, John H. Mariani, author and Food and Travel Correspondent for Esquire Magazine, labeled her as "The Straw that Stirs the Drink" in the early 90's. This is a moniker that still holds true today across the storyboards of Sonja's life and career.

Sonja has been named 'Favorite NY Housewife' on "Watch What Happens Live" by Andy Cohen, favorite Housewife of the entire franchise by Tina Fey, made Perez Hilton's All Time Favorite Housewives List and is an NBC All Star.

Sonja's keen eye for business opportunities led her to "The Real Housewives of NYC," the highest rated franchise and only international Housewife show on Bravo in 128 countries. She initially turned down the offer to join season one's cast on the hit reality show, but joined two years later for the third season. Sonja has been in the NBC Universal family for over 7 years and is considered a most relatable housewife.

Prior to joining The Real Housewives of New York City, Sonja had been writing her biographical screenplay, a la Candace Bushnell's Sex in The City, and produced her multimillion-dollar film, The Marsh, starring Oscar winner Forest Whitaker and Gabrielle Anwar. By partnering with Bravo, and going back in front of the camera unscripted Sonja is now part of the most successful commercial vehicle on television today.

A lover of the arts, Sonja loves spending her free time entertaining others by performing in her self-named "Caburlesque" shows. Her continuous development of her Sonja In The City Special Events seen frequently on The Real Housewives of New York City and in society pages due to her philanthropic efforts reflect this motto.
