Dixon Place ( 161A Chrystie Street) presents Down the Urinal Hole and Around the Corner, a queer cult horror from The Cult Next Door ensemble, October 27th at 10:00pm. Inspired by Edgar Allen Poe's Masque of the Red Death , this theatrical event is about MAN, who stumbles upon an invitation he shouldn't open, goes to a party where he doesn't belong, and lives a night he should never have experienced. Drawing from the worlds of vaudeville, clowning, drag, and cult horror, we aim to entertain, unsettle, disgust, and delight. Join us for an evening of unrequited love, privilege, and power.
Down The Urinal Hole and Around the Corner stars The Cult Next Door ensemble members Bradley Levine (MAN), Lick (BabyBoy), Magdalena Borlando (Curiosity), Mara Rothman (Jen?), and Parker Allen Stanley (Prospero) with direction by ensemble member Hersh Ellis. Story, text, and music by The Cult Next Door ensemble, with additional material by Alyssa Joanlanne and Joshua F. Marks. Down the Urinal Hole... was presented at the 2017 KC Fringe Festival. The Cult Next Door ensemble was founded by members of the International Performance Ensemble at the Pace School of Performing Arts.
