Directed by Pavel Dobruský- Presented by Agentura dell'Arte and The Tank
Set in the communist Ministry of Culture,
a lonely young janitor daydreams while cleaning up the excrement of the regime. In her fantasy, the Velvet Revolution happens and she is selected to be the new minister. Using classic Czech cynicism
and humor, this dance theater work utilizes an interactive set of panels that chronicle the events of the Velvet Revolution, and draws on influences from Hasek, Kafka, Kundera, and others.
Performed by Hana Kalouskova, with an installation by Milan David, and documentary materials and projection by Pavel Stingl.
