After a month of the first Dare to Give Fundraising Campaign, R.Evolución Latina raised $12,636 from individual supporters for its educational outreach programs. R.Evolución Latina's (RL) leaders, volunteers, and students reached out through social media to friends and families to share the message and mission of the organization. Thanks to these individuals, as well as supporters from the Broadway community including Jaime Camil and Sergio Trujillo, and an incredible donation of $15,000 from Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, RL raised a grand total of $27,636. This success reinforces the belief that there are individuals who understand that ART CHANGES LIVES.

RL continues to share it's inspiration and awareness with children throughout the greater NY area and beyond. The funds raised will go to support RL's educational programs including the D2G Children’s Performing Arts Camp, which is currently open for registration. This production support RL’s mission of empowering communities through the arts. The creative team includes Tony Award nominee Joshua Henry (Porgy and Bess), who is writing music and lyrics, and Luis Salgado Latin assistant choreographer of In The Heights will be directing and choreographing the production.
