The 2018 Brits Off Broadway season continues at 59E59 Theaters (Val Day, Artistic Director; Brian Beirne, Managing Director) with the US premiere of REPLAY, written and performed by Nicola Wren and directed by George Chilcott. Produced by DugOut Theatre, REPLAY begins performances on Tuesday, April 24 for a limited engagement through Sunday, May 13. The performance schedule is Tuesday - Friday at 7:30 PM; Saturday at 2:30 PM & 7:30 PM; Sunday at 2:30 PM. Performances are at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street, between Park and Madison Avenues). When a fiercely independent, workaholic police officerreceives an old cassette tape with a message from her big brother on it, she is propelled back to her vibrant childhood and forced to confront a tremendous loss. Called "absorbing and bittersweet" by The Stage, REPLAY is an intimate, moving, and life-affirming story about learning to celebrate the past, however painful.
The Scotsman called REPLAY "a touching celebration of sibling relationships" and praised Nicola Wren's performance as "beautiful."

Nicola Wren (writer/performer) trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Her first play,501 Things I Do In My Bedroom, debuted at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2015 and was transferred to
King's Head Theatre for Festival45. She has since written short pieces for St. James Theatre's re:ACT,re:ACT at HighTide Festival, and is an alumni of Soho Theatre's Writers Lab. Her web series, Big Girls, is in development with Two Larks Films. Her work as an actress includes Lovesick (Netflix), A Song For Jenny (BBC), King Arthur: Legend of the Sword (Velocity Productions), The Death and Life of John. F. Donovan (Lyla Films), Spare BnB (Two Larks Films), and 501 Things I Do In My Bedroom (Edinburgh Fringe Festival/
King's Head Theatre). Nicola regularly performs for BAFTA Rocliffe Forum. She has also trained in improvisation at Hoopla Improv.
George Chilcott (director) founded DugOut Theatre at Leeds University in 2009 and remains the company's Artistic Director. He has an MFA in Theatre Directing at Birkbeck University and was formerly an Associate Director at HighTide Theatre and a Resident Director at the
West Yorkshire Playhouse. As Artistic Director of DugOut Theatre, George has directed plays at Hull Truck,
West Yorkshire Playhouse, The Pleasance (Edinburgh and London), Greenwich Theatre, Soho Theatre and Arcola Theatre. These plays include Replay, Stack, Inheritance Blues, The Sunset Five and Swansong. As Associate Director at HighTide, credits include Bottleneck and Neighbors. As Resident Assistant Director at
West Yorkshire Playhouse, credits include Talking Heads, Enjoy and Jungle Book. George is also the director of sketch comedy duo Goodbear, and comedian Naz Osmanoglu.
