For the first time ever, from June 1st-10th, the culinary community is turning (RED) to raise money and awareness for the fight against AIDS. Led by Chef Mario Batali and master meat purveyor, Pat LaFrieda, food and drink businesses around the world will serve-up delicious (RED) culinary experiences to raise money for the Global Fund to fight AIDS, and harness the growing interest in all things culinary to raise awareness that the war against AIDS is winnable.
The epicurean extravaganza Queen of the Night has created "Be Inspi(RED)", a special pomegranate-infused cocktail that will be available during the ten days in June.
Recipe for Be Inspi(RED)
1.5 oz Belvedere
2 oz Fresh Pomegranate Juice
3.5 oz Club Soda
Build in a highball glass over cubed ice. Garnish with lemon peels.
Queen of the Night, created by king of immersive entertainment and Sleep No More producer Randy Weiner, is a critically acclaimed fusion of cuisine, theater, circus, and nightlife, and was recently extended through August 31 by popular demand at the legendary nightspot Simon Hammerstein's Diamond Horseshoe (235 W. 46th Street, NYC). At Queen of the Night, drinks flow, dinner is served, and over the course of the gala, guests are engaged, entertained, and immersed in this genre-blurring spectacle.
Queen of the Night plays Tuesdays through Sundays beginning at 7:30 p.m. and tiered ticket prices begin at $140. For tickets, visit queenofthenightnyc.com.
