Alexa Kelly, Artistic Director of Pulse Ensemble Theatre, announced the company will present the World Premiere of this full length version of Anuval Pal's Indian-flavored, bittersweet comedy "CHAOS THEORY" at the TBG Theatre, 312 West 36th Street, from May 24th through June 19th.

Opening in India in 1965 where Mukesh Singh and Sunita Sen attend New Delhi University, and flashing forward to NYC in 2000, the play explores the unusual love story of two young students as they embrace the challenges of their bi-cultural lives. Director Alexa Kelly said: " This version of CHAOS THEORY by Anuvab Pal, was developed by PULSE ENSEMBLE THEATRE's Playwrights' Lab over the past 8 years, under the leadership of Lezley Streele. This script has had two major readings, one sponsored by the Indian American Arts Council, and the other, presented at the Indian Consulate, under the sponsorship of the Consulate General. Anyone who has taught or been involved with academia will get an additional joy from this play. CHAOS THEORY is exciting to me on many levels: it is witty, it is literary; it deals with migration and acceptance, it handles human emotions in a very real way; it reflects a woman's point of view, and while it is complete in its journey, it does not give you all the answers! It is whimsical, yet it is real! CHAOS THEORY taps into the core of all human beings: the need to belong."

Ranjit Chowdhry is an actor/writer from India who has also lived and worked in Canada and the USA. On stage Ranjit has performed in THE MESMERIST with Steppenwolf and the Broadway-bound RAFTA, RAFTA with The New Group. She has appeared in Stephen Frears' "My Beautiful Laundrette", Spike Lee's "Girl Six" and on CBS' "The Good Wife."

TONY MIRRCANDANI's films include GADAR, one of Bollywood's highest grossing films, and BEEPER with Harvey Keitel. He has also appeared all over the world in the stage production of MERCHANTS OF BOLLYWOOD.

Director Alexa Kelly came to New York City from teaching acting and directing at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where she worked with such students as DOUG SILLS, Tim Hopper and Gary Garrison. She
co-founded Pulse Ensemble Theatre in 1989, and has been its Artistic Director since then.
