Prospect Theater Company (Cara Reichel, Producing Artistic Director / Melissa Huber, Managing Director) extended performances of its highly acclaimed new musical With Glee for one additional final week. The show will close on August 29 at The Kirk Theatre at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street) following a sold-out original run and two extensions. This is the last and final extension of this highly popular new musical. A new musical comedy about five teenage boys in their freshman year at boarding school, With Glee is written by John Gregor and directed by Igor Goldin (Yank!). Added performances are Tuesdays at 7:30 pm, Wednesday through Saturday at 8:00pm and 3:00 pm matinees on Saturdays and Sundays. (Complete performance schedule is below.) John Gregor (book, music, and lyrics) wrote the score and co-wrote the lyrics for PInkalicious the Musical. PInkalicious has played to sold out audiences Off-Broadway at the premiere theater, New World Stages. It is currently in its fourth year Off-Broadway at The Bleecker Street Theatre, recently began an open-ended run in Toronto. John also received a 2004 Frederick Loewe Award for With Glee, for which he wrote the book, music and lyrics. John's musical adaptation of Gogol's tragicomic short story The Overcoat has been presented in London at the Bridewell Theatre, the Barrington Stage Company and The New York International Fringe Festival. He has also co-written several children's musicals for Vital Theatre Company, including The Changeling and The Bully, now on national tour. Further, his works include The Mask of the Dancing Princess, Calling All Toys and The Nastiest Drink in the World. A graduate of Emerson College in Musical Theatre, John received his Masters in Musical Theatre Writing from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.
