The Rave Revue, part of Prospect's IGNITE Concert Series, will take place at The TimesCenter (242 West 41st Street, NYC) on Friday, July 27th at 8pm. On Saturday, September 8th at 8p, Prospect kicks off its 18-19 Season with another IGNITE Concert at The TimesCenter (242 West 41st Street, NYC). To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the devastating 1993 flood of the MIssissippi River, Prospect will present a one night concert staging of the original musical, THE FLOOD, in partnership with Debbie Slevin's greymatters productions. With book, music and lyrics by Peter Mills and Cara Reichel, this special evening will benefit the continued recovery of hurricane-affected communities in Puerto Rico. A cast of Broadway and Prospect stars will be joined by a chorus of more than 30 singers from Monroe County, Illinois -- the community which survived the Great Flood of '93 and whose stories inspired the musical. Tickets are $30 - $50.

This special event is part of of NAAP's annual Rediscover Series, which explores classic musicals with professional artists of Asian descent, proving that great works of theater speak to all communities. It is also presented as a part of Prospect's ongoing IGNITE Concert series at The TimesCenter (242 West 41st Street, NYC). Through this special Rediscover Series concert presentation, directed by Steven Eng and music directed by Kristen Lee Rosenfeld, NAAP brings a new and unique voice to interpret a modern classic. James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim's Tony Award-winning book and score interweave favorite storybook characters, creating a timeless yet relevant piece on the power of story and the nature of family. Tickets are $25 - $55.

Prospect's 18-19 Season continues with the world premiere production of THE HELLO GIRLS, an original musical with music and lyrics by Prospect founding artist Peter Mills, and book by Mills and Cara Reichel. From New York to Paris, from ragtime to jazz, THE HELLO GIRLS chronicles the story of America's first women soldiers. These intrepid heroines served as bilingual telephone operators on the front lines, helping turn the tide of World War I. They then returned home to fight a decades-long battle for equality and recognition, paving the way for future generations. Prospect celebrates the centennial of these groundbreaking women's work. The production will be helmed by Prospect's Artistic Director Cara Reichel, with choreography by Christine O'Grady, the creative team behind past Prospect productions including THE UNDERCLASSMAN and IRON CURTAIN. Performances will be Nov. 13 - Dec. 22, 2018 at 59E59 Theaters (www.59E59.org). Tickets are $25 - $70.
