The Primary Stages School of Theater (PSST) has announced new additions to the curriculum in acting, playwriting and directing for the Spring 2010 semester: Scene Study: Contemporary Texts, Advanced Scene Study: Tennessee Williams, Clowning, Alexander Technique, Viewpoints, Pilates for Actors, Unarmed Stage Combat, Voice and Speech, Dramaturgy, Improvisation, Musical Theater Auditioning: Your Best 16 Bars, Adaptation, Libretto 2: From Treatment to First Draft, Advanced Playwriting, Advanced TV Writing, Writing & Producing for the Web, and Directing for Actors. Two special workshops will be offered: Primary Previews with PSST Director Tessa LaNeve and Directing Intensive with director Leigh Silverman.

Special guest instructors for the spring semester include Karen Braga, comedian Denny Dillon, Gary Donatelli, Sarah Elliott, director Carl Forsman, Tony-Award winner Randy Graff, lyricist Kait Kerrigan, Michael Laibson, Brad Lemons, Lucas Caleb Rooney, Kim Weild and Walton Wilson who will join returning PSST Faculty members Casey Childs, Andrew Leynse, Michelle Bossy, Linda & David Laundra, Betsy Aidem, Lisa Rothe, Jackson Gay, Mark Blum, Mary Louise Wilson, Sheri Wilner, Julian Sheppard, Cusi Cram, Rogelio Martinez, Blair Singer, Tessa LaNeve and Leigh Silverman

Andrew Leynse, Artistic Director at Primary Stages commented, "The added curriculum and workshops will help expand our mission of nurturing emerging talent."

PSST is an interdisciplinary performing arts institution where students may hone their skills and develop their careers in a nurturing and collaborative environment. The School provides extensive opportunities for emerging artists, professionals, and life-long learners to collaborate with working professional artists while building strong relationships within the New York theater community.

Enrollment begins December 1.
