The Playwrights Realm will celebrate its seventh anniversary with the annual Writers Block Party on Monday, April 7, 2014 at The Stanley H. Kaplan Penthouse in the Samuel B. & David Rose Building (70 Lincoln Center Plaza; 165 West 65th Street).
The Writers Block Party will feature hors d'oeuvres, drinks, and original performances in the return of the Play-B-Q, a series of short comedic plays written by the Realm's Alumni Playwrights and performed by four actors. Plus, The Realm is bringing back their incredibly popular High-End Yard Sale featuring various items ranging from theater tickets, to rare vintage wines, to gift packages. Yard Sale items are already available on Bidding For Good. All proceeds from Writers Block Party will go toward The Realm's programs including the Writing Fellows Residency, the Page One Program, Pipeline, and the Alumni Playwrights Group.
"Our Writers Block Party is an exciting night for us as we not only get to celebrate our artists, but we also get to celebrate The Realm's potential for future growth and expansion," said Katherine Kovner. "And I have no doubt that this year's party will be our biggest and best yet."
Tickets for the celebration range from $150 (single ticket) to $1,000 (two tickets). V.I.P. tables are also available for $5,000 (four seats) and $10,000 (six seats). Tickets can be purchased online at www.playwrightsrealm.org, via phone at (212) 255-3089 or via email at tickets@playwrightsrealm.org.
