Fathers & Sons, a new play by Richard Hoehler and directed by Chris Dolan, offers an original take on the time-honored question, "What makes men tick?". This world-premiere Off-Broadway production will be housed at the Lion Theatre on Theatre Row, 410 W. 42 St. Previews began September 15, 2009; the show will run from opening night on September 17 through October 4.
A pair of actors are cast as six pairs of fathers and sons. Scene by scene, they explore the dynamics of male relationships: power, control, responsibility, abandonment - and love. With humor and insight, they delve into their characters kicking and screaming, laughing and crying, loving each other with a vengeance. It's not the letting go that hurts; it's the holding on.
Tickets for the show are $25 and can be purchased online at www.ticketcentral.com, by phone at 212-279-4200 or in person at the box office between 12 PM and 8 PM. The Theatre Row Box Office is located at 410 West 42nd Street (between 9th & 10th Aves.).
