The Off-Broadway theatre company the stageFARM has announced the world premiere of Vengeance, a series of five original 10-minute plays written by Neena Beber, Ron Fitzgerald, Gina Gionfriddo, Julian Sheppard, and Francine Volpe. With direction by Alex Kilgore and Ari Edelson, the five-member cast features David Wilson Barnes (The Lieutenant of Inishmore), Lisa Joyce (Red Light Winter), Michael Mosley ("Kidnapped"), David Ross (Lucy & The Conquest), and Carrie Shaltz (Drug Buddy).
Vengeance began performances October 4; Opening Night is October 9, with a limited engagement through Saturday evening, October 20 at The Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street between Barrow & Bedford Streets).
The plays in Vengeance explore mankind's current cycle of retribution. In describing Vengeance, the stageFARM's Artistic Director Kilgore, said, "We commissioned these plays to explore the theme of vengeance because our country, and our world, are mired in a mindset of retribution." The creative team for Vengeance includes John McDermott (Sets), Nicole Pearce (Lighting) and John Kilgore (Sound). The Production Stage Manager is Jillian Oliver.
