A star studded production of Frank Wildhorn and Jack Murphy's newest musical, MONTE CRISTO, recently received its premiere production at the Universal Arts Center in Seoul, South Korea. The production stars a number of Korean stars in the new musical based on the classic Alexandre Dumas novel.
The cast for the production includes Ryu Jung-han,Eom Gi-joon Sin Seong-rok as Edmond/Monte Cristo, Ock Joo-hyun Cha Ji-yeon as Mercedes, Choi Min-cheol Cho Hwee as Mondego, Jang Dae-woong as prosecutor Villefort, Jo Won-hee Lee Yong-geun as priest Faria, and Kim Seung-dae?Jeon Dong-suck as Albert.
The story of MONTE CRISTO surrounds Edmond who, knowing nothing but the sea, sets out to exact revenge against a friend and prosecutor who get him sent to jail for 14 years.
The musical plays through June 13th at the Universal Arts Center and is then going to tour in Korea. Tickets range in price from 40,000 to 120,000 won and may be purchased by calling the box office at (02) 6391-6333.
