Back by popular demand is "Modern Prometheus: Frankenstein with Mary Shelley". Just in time for the Halloween season, Mary Shelley breathes life into her timeless tale in this one-woman show. Get a first look at the show in the photos below!
After a critically acclaimed run at Nicu’s Spoon Theatre in Manhattan, Virginia Bartholomew, a 2011 NYIT Best Leading Actress Nominee, re-creates the horror and beauty of Shelley’s Promethean tale about the ultimate quest for eternal life gone horribly awry in this original adaptation of Mary Shelley’s classic tale is Gothic horror. Frankenstein as told by its remarkable author, featuring her ambitious young doctor and the voice of his poignant but abandoned creation, will keep you on The Edge of your seat.
The story is adapted by Virginia Bartholomew and directed by Will Le Vasseur.
This one evening only performance is presented as part of United Solo, the world’s largest solo theatre festival, produced by Redd Tale Theatre Company and performed at Theatre Row in the Studio Theatre at 410 42nd Street New York, NY, on October 19, 2012 at 7:30pm.
