Last night, July 30, Grammy and Tony-nominated actress, singer and author Vanessa Williams hosted a Fall Preview Party celebrating the launch of the upcoming season at The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture.

Joining Vanessa Williams on stage were Drama Desk Award-winner Ken Jennings (Broadway's Sweeney Todd, Side Show, Grand Hotel) who will appear at The Sheen Center this season in The Gospel of John; Andy Peterson, Director of The Justice Film Festival at The Sheen Center this fall; and from the Sheen Center, Director of Programming Administration David Di Certo, Managing Director Andrew Levine, and Executive Director William Spencer Reilly.

From the stage of the Loreto Theater at The Sheen Center, Vanessa Williams announced theater, film, talk, and live music events from the upcoming fall season, including a special benefit evening of music for The Sheen Center on November 18, "Vanessa William and Friends."

The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture is a New York City arts center located in NoHo that presents a vibrant mix of theater, film, music, art and talk events. A project of the Archdiocese of New York, The Sheen Center serves all New Yorkers by presenting performances and artists that reflect the true, the good, and the beautiful. Named for the late Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen, best remembered as an inspirational author, radio host and two-time Emmy Award-winning television personality, The Sheen Center reflects his modern-day approach to contemporary topics. The Sheen Center is a state-of-the-art theater complex that includes the 270-seat off-Broadway Loreto Theater, equipped with five-camera high-definition TV and live-stream capability and a multi-track recording studio; the 80-seat off-off-Broadway Black Box Theater; four rehearsal studios; and an art gallery.
