THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES Heads Off-Broadway for Benefit Production Today

On April 22nd, THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES was performed at the Taconic Correctional Facility. For two hours, the women at Taconic experienced a theatrical piece that transported them into the witty and poignant insights surrounding the female experience. Following the performance, the women participated in a powerful talkback with playwright Eve Ensler. Scroll down for photos!

A benefit production of THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES will be held today, May 8th at Cherry Lane Theatre with a cast of formerly incarcerated women, professional actors, members of the trans community and activists. The production is a local effort within V-Day's global ONE BILLION RISING campaign to end violence against women and girls. All proceeds form this performance will benefit Women's Prison Association. This event will also include a post-show talkback with Eve Ensler, the cast, and director.
