Off-Broadway's RUTHLESS! THE MUSICAL concluded its run last Saturday, September 10th. Following the sold-out final performance, the Entire company partied into the wee hours at Philippe. RUTHLESS! opened July 13, 2015.
Book and lyrics for RUTHLESS! are by Joel Paley with music by Marvin Laird. Paley also directed the show's 1992 debut as well as productions in L.A., South Beach and the record-breaking concert event starring Bernadette Peters. He once again served as director of the new production, with Marvin Laird on board as music supervisor.
Featured in the cast of RUTHLESS! were Kim Maresca (IT'S MY PARTY AND I'LL BELT IF I WANT TO! at Feinstein's/54 Below), Paul Pecorino (DEVIL BOYS FROM BEYOND, THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW), Tori Murray (Nickelodeon's "All in with Cam Newton"), Rita McKenzie (Ethel Merman'S BROADWAY, RUTHLESS! L.A.), Andrea McCullough (URINETOWN, GREASE), and Tracy Jai Edwards(HAIRSPRAY, LEGALLY BLONDE).
RUTHLESS! was produced Off-Broadway by Maxine Paul, Evan Sacks and Ken Schur.
