Rehearsals are now in progress for the Off-Broadway premiere of Robert Brustein's THE LAST WILL, the final installment of his trilogy examining the life of William Shakespeare, with previews set to begin April 5, prior to its official opening on April 17 in the June Havoc Theatre (312 West 36th Street).

Directed by Austin Pendleton, THE LAST WILL looks William Shakespeare's final days. Retired after years of struggle and success in London, Shakespeare suffers from a fatal illness which causes his mind to deteriorate and obscures his ability to distinguish between fact and fiction. As he wrestles with suspicions, delusions, and family resentments, Shakespeare longs for forgiveness.

The cast of THE LAST WILL includes Peter Cameron as William Shakespeare; Stephanie Roth Haberle as Anne Hathaway; Merritt Janson as Susanna Shakespeare; Jeremiah Kissel as Richard Burbage; ChristiAnna Nelson as Judith Shakespeare; and David Wohl as Francis Collins.
