Photo Flash: Meet the Cast of ONE LOVE at Theater for the New City

From the brain of Peter Zachari, who brought you Under the Knife: A Farce, Fat Asses: The Musical and Parker & Dizzy's Fabulous Journey to the End of the Rainbow, all of which premiered at Theater for the New City, comes One Love: A New Play. Cast includes Alex J. Moreno (Hunter), Russell Norris (Bryce), Joey Mirable (Logan), Itanza Wooden (Afrodite), Thomas Royce Daniels (Brett), Scott Salame (Tyler), Brian Anthony Simmons (Fantasy Man #1) and William Chang (Fantasy Man #2).

"A Love Story for the Heavy Hearted"

Hunter is haunted by the past - the ghost of a failed relationship leaves him unable to find love even in his fantasies. An impromptu dinner with his extravagant drag queen roommate, a former gay stripper turned Conservative evangelist and an annoying acquaintance with a lazy eye, all of whom have excess baggage of their own, makes for an awkward evening. Only when a sexy stranger from Pocatello, Idaho with an uncomplicated outlook on life and a big-hearted spirit named Afrodite enter his life does he have the courage to face his demons. One Love explores the power of perspective and its influence on the complexities of love.

PETER ZACHARI (Director/Playwright) has written and directed Under the Knife: A Farce, Fat Asses: The Musical as well as the return of Parker & Dizzy's Fabulous Journey to the End of the Rainbow at Theater for the New City. He produced, directed and wrote The 3rd Gender for the New York International Fringe Festival, whereParker & Dizzy's Fabulous Journey to the End of the Rainbow also premiered. His ten-minute play, I Am Seventy Going on Eighteen was selected for production at the Boston Theatre Marathon VII. Other directing credits include include Into the Woods, Footloose, Rumors, Grease, They're Playing Our Song, Return to the Forbidden Planet and Moon Over Buffalo (Summer Theatre at Salem) as well as West Side Story (Marblehead High School.) For several years, Mr. Zachari taught Acting and Directing for the Department of Theatre at Salem State University. He received his Master of Fine Arts from the University of Florida and his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Salem State University
