PTP/NYC's 27th anniversary season opened on July 10 at The Atlantic Stage 2. The celebration took place at The Maritime Hotel in NYC. This season's Off-Broadway line-up includes the New York Premiere of Howard Barker's The Castle, starring Jan Maxwell, along with Jennifer Van Dyck and Quentin Maré, directed by PTP's Co-Artistic Director Richard Romagnoli; and a revival of last season's acclaimed production of Caryl Churchill's Serious Money, directed by PTP's Co-Artistic Director Cheryl Faraone.

PTP/NYC, in association with Middlebury College, proudly presents its 27th repertory season, its 7th consecutive in New York, running from now through August 4, 2013 in a limited Off-Broadway engagement at The Atlantic Stage 2, located at 330 West 16th Street between 8th & 9th Avenues in New York City.

Howard Barker's THE CASTLE is an epic work, blasting apart - with humor and violence - the boundaries of desire, pain, and sexuality. After an absence of 7 years, a group of Crusaders returns 'home' to find authority, religion, and human relations all upended and a new society established by the women who have been left behind. The battle lines are drawn immediately.

The cast includes five-time Tony Award nominee and Drama Desk Award winner Jan Maxwell (Follies, Lend Me a Tenor and The Royal Family on Broadway, Victory, Scenes From An Execution and The Castle with PTP), Jennifer Van Dyck (Hedda Gabler, Dancing at Lughnasa and Two Shakespearean Actors on Broadway), David Barlow (Horizon at NY Theatre Workshop, Oroonoko with Theater for a New Audience, Victory and Scenes From An Execution with PTP), Steven Dykes (Victory with PTP and Vanya with The Wrestling School), Brent Langdon (Serious Money and The Europeans with PTP), Quentin Maré (Broadway: Rock 'n' Roll, Coram Boy, Julius Caesar), Robert Zukerman (Victory with PTP), Christina Fox, Aubrey Dube, Rachel Goodgal, Melissa MacDonald and Stephen Mrowiec.

The creative team includes Jon Craine (Set Design), Hallie Zieselman (Lighting Design), Jule Emerson (Costume Design), Cormac Bluestone (Sound Design) and Eric Conner Marlin (Stage Manager). Assistants to the Director are Matthew Ball and Sumire Doi.

In a scathing satire set in the trading pits and boardrooms of London's financial district, acclaimEd English playwright Caryl Churchill tackles the insider trading, corporate raiding and leveraged buyouts of the late '80s in SERIOUS MONEY. Churchill's acidly funny, cocaine-fueled ride examines the abuses of power, greed and sexual politics that continue to resonate with the current global financial crisis. Fiercely witty and shockingly prophetic, Serious Money also features music and lyrics by Ian Dury, Micky Gallagher and Chas Jankel.

The cast includes David Barlow (Horizon at NY Theatre Workshop, Oroonoko with Theater for a New Audience, Victory with PTP), NYIT Award winner Megan Byrne (Territories, The Europeans and No End of Blame with PTP), Nesba Crenshaw, NYIT Award nominee Alex Draper (A Map of Virtue with 13P, Terrorism with New Group, Scenes From An Execution and Lovesong of the Electric Bear with PTP), Aubrey Dube, Jay Dunn, Steven Dykes (Victory with PTP and Vanya with The Wrestling School), Tara Giordano (Lovesong of the Electric Bear and Politics of Passion with PTP), Jeanne laSala Taylor (No End of Blame with PTP), Mathew Nakitare (Victory and A Question of Mercy with PTP), Noah Berman, Madeley Crenshaw-Dykes, Sarah Lusche, Adam Milano, Molly O'Keefe, Isabel Shill and Mari Vial-Golden.

The creative team includes Carol Christensen (Musical Direction), Alicia Evancho (Choreography), Hallie Zieselman (Set Design), Mark Evancho (Lighting Design), Jule Emerson with JorDan Jones (Costume Design), Allison Rimmer with Aubrey Dube (Sound Design) and Michael Bradley Block (Stage Manager). Assistants to the Director are Christo Grabowski and Melissa MacDonald.
