From the 100th performance of Gone Missing at the Barrow Street Theatre this past Friday October 5.  It appears as if the birthday cake has also gone missing!

Gone Missing is produced Off Broadway by Scott Morfee and Tom Wirtshafter in association with The Civilians.  Written and directed by Steven Cosson with additional text by Peter Morris, and featuring music and lyrics by Michael Friedman, Gone Missing began performances on June 14 and became one of the best reviewed shows of the year.

Marking The Civilians' commercial Off Broadway debut, Gone Missing, the wry and whimsical documentary musical of things gone missing, is now playing at the Barrow Street Theatre through January 6, 2008.  "Gone Missing is crafted from company interviews with real-life New Yorkers about things gone missing: keys, IDs, a Gucci pump...or one's mind.  Since its initial performance, just after September 11, 2001, Gone Missing has continued to morph into its current incarnation, set against Mr. Friedman's score, which incorporates salsa, ballads, operetta and tuneful pop," explain press notes.

Gone Missing features choreography by Jim Augustine, set design by Takeshi Kata, costume design by Sarah Beers, lighting design by Thomas Dunn and sound design by Ken Travis.

The Barrow Street Theatre is located at 27 Barrow Street at 7th Avenue South in the heart of Greenwich Village.  For details visit www.barrowstreettheatre.com

The performance schedule for Gone Missing is Tuesday – Friday at 7:30Pm, Saturday at 2:30PM & 7:30PM and Sunday at 5PM.  Tickets are $50 and are available through Telecharge at 212-239-6200 or by visiting www.telecharge.com.  There are also a limited number of $20 student rush seats available at the box office on the day of the performance, subject to availability.
