Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Horton Foote returns to Primary Stages with the New York premiere of his play Dividing The Estate, described in press notes as "a 12-character human comedy about a family that must confront its past as it prepares for its future."  Performances began September 18; opening night is Thursday, September 27 at 6PM, with performances scheduled through October 28.

Dividing The Estate plays the following performance schedule: Tuesdays at 7PM, Wednesdays through Friday at 8PM, and Saturdays at 2PM & 8PM, and Sundays at 3PM, with a Wednesday matinee on October 24 at 2PM.  In place of the Wednesday matinees on October 10 & 17, Primary Stages is presenting 1PM. performances of Dividing The Estate to student groups at no charge, under the auspices of the Primary Stages NYC Public School Student Matinee Program.  Additionally, following the public performance on October 16, there is a special "Artist/Audience Talkback" for the attendees of the performance that evening.
